![]() I didn't really have any problems getting the wins with any of the other decks, but must have lost at least 10 times before I managed a single win with this budget OTK Dragon. I just need to first reiterate that this deck is really, truly, incredibly bad. It was hard to make a good, ultra budget deck that included him, but he is honestly the top priority craft out of all Rune golds and legendaries. Upgrade options: Levi is still Rune's best universal follower that is played in basically every single Rune deck even when they are otherwise nothing alike. ![]() Since this deck can't afford to play Merlin or Levi, we go all in on the spell strategy and hope to survive until shiftin' time. It's everybody's favourite archetype, D-Shift! With the new additions of Lou and Enchanted Library, we can play degenerate solitaire without Merlin. Fangblade Slayer is also a great late game follower that can help clear the way for damage if you aren't ready to throw vials at Tsubaki just yet. Upgrade options: Albert is still the safest craft for Sword at the moment. The deck does run out of steam quickly so you want to finish them as soon as possible. I've found in my experience that Frog-centric lists tend to really struggle when they don't draw Frog, whereas in my deck the Frog package is more of a supplement in damage to make up for the lack of sustain compared to normal Albertcraft. This is a Vegabond Frog deck that also plays like Albertcraft (without the Albert) and doesn't rely on Frog as the only win condition. Fortunately, these two are among the safest investments in the game considering how long they've stayed around. Upgrade options: Unfortunately, you need Ancient Elves and Rhinoceroaches to play any currently meta Forest lists. Beetle Warrior can also put up his best Albert impression for some storm damage. After putting in chip damage over the early game you can finish off with Wind God or Cynthia. The concept of this deck is to play like tempo Forest, keeping the board constantly filled with weenies and buffing them with Cybele to make it sticky. If you are going to watch only one video out of all of these, please watch this forest game because it is my favourite of the bunch. However, I do genuinely believe that most of them are solid foundations for budget decks, and can be easily improved upon for cheap. These decks are not meant to be copied card-for-card, and they are more of a proof of concept. ![]() ![]() The result of this is that I ended up making 8 decks that all cost exactly 5000 vials to create, for better or for worse. However, like Icarus who flew too close to the sun, my obsession became my own downfall as I became adamant about my self-imposed arbitrary limitation that every deck must cost no more than 5000 vials. Last night, in a fit of insomnia and delirium, I decided that I wanted to make budget decks for every class, updated for the ToG card pool, and then record myself winning at least one game with each deck on ranked to showcase their playstyle. ![]()
