![]() Overall it seemed a tourist trap complete with expensive silly photos and not friendly to the younger visitors. Luckily my 3YO can do a quick change standing up but half way thru a staff member came in and yelled at me that he isn’t allowed to stand on the counter (I was right in front of him holding him putting on his pants). Then we enjoyed the views and on the way out stopped at the restroom which didn’t have a changing table, just a hard marble slab. We had to go downstairs (balancing everything) to benches which is of course not ideal for toddler eating. We decided to get a snack (there was a $15 voucher with my full priced ticket for food) so they could sit but then AFTER we got thru the narrow cafe with our $40 snacks I saw they only had adult sized stand up tables and they wouldn’t let us sit in the restaurant despite it being empty. The views are wonderful, but this was not toddler friendly despite their free admission (mine was full price as I didn’t buy ahead as I wasn’t sure we would be able to time it and then I didn’t want to wait an hour for the standard package). Put this on your list of things to do in NYC. Ironically, we could look down and see the NY Stock Exchange, where that day the Dow Jones fell a record amount only to be exceeded by the all time fall three days later. There was no line on this Monday in March, perhaps due to the month and the coronavirus scare. We bought the basic, non-priority ticket (higher price gets you priority in the line), and did just fine. We got one, and thought it worth the investment. There is an opportunity to rent for $15 an iPad that is programmed to point out and describe many of the sights you see. 9/11 Memorial & Ground Zero Tour with Optional 9/11 Museum Ticket. Ground Zero Tour with Optional One World Observatory Ticket. The Skypod elevators at Freedom Tower go up 1,250 feet to the One World Observatory, often called OWO. Look up and see One World Trade Center’s Freedom Tower. It’s located near the northwest corner of Ground Zero. You walk around and look out gigantic windows in every direction. The One World Trade Center, known also as Freedom Tower, is the nation’s tallest skyscraper. The Observatory is completely inside - you're not standing out in wind or the elements. It's awesome, looking in all directions at tall buildings, bridges, waterways, the Statue of Liberty, airplanes landing below your level. One at the observatory you can spend however much time you like. ![]() The elevator ride is incredibly fast, and on the way up the elevator's walls are a video screen showing the changing panorama of NYC, from prehistoric times to the present. An unforgettable experience, and one you'll recall every time to return to NYC. ![]() My family and I visited the "Observatory" at One World Trade Center on Monday, March 9th, 2020. ![]()
